One of my photographs is included in the Austin Visual Arts Association's "AVAA 35th Anniversary Show." The photograph will be displayed at the Dougherty Arts Center, 1110 Barton Springs Road in Austin from February 2-22, 2012. The opening reception will be held on Thursday, February 2nd from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Everyone is welcome!

 Debra Parr's attraction to color and light is evident in her photographs. She has an ability to captures a scene that might otherwise go unnoticed. Sometimes it's the reflection of light, the whimsy of multiple colored objects or capturing light on a subject's face to reveal the person in an unique way. And, sometimes, it's just capturing the spatial relationship created by juxtaposed objects.
A native of Houston, Debra has resided in Austin since 1997. She is a Certified Meeting Professional. A published poet, Debra enjoys playing bass guitar, hiking in the redwoods, talking to her cats, stargazing and traveling with her camera. |
